Development of Eyesight and its Relevance
For the human being the most important sense is the ability to see. At least, that to me is the most important sense, today, although all the other senses are very important to life.
Little understood, by most of humanity, is the fact that human eyes, dogs eyes, fishes eyes or birds eyes, are facing outwards to a view of total blackness. Contrary to normal belief the universe is totally black. This will be met by disbelief by most people, as most of the eyes looking out on the world, the Sun and Moon, the sky, and stars are seeing a very pleasant view of many colours. “ah” you may say but I can see the Sun and its colour. That is true, but what is being seen is the black rays reflecting off the suns materials which are at very elevated temperatures.
When asked the question can you see light, the quick answer is “Yes, of course”, but if some thought is given to what is observed it is the “form” and “colour” of objects and natural things. Consider that some radio waves are incoming from the Sun which the human eye cannot see. Radio waves, which we cannot see, strike an object, say a flower, and the natural material/pigments of the flower reflects a series of wave lengths, which we can see. In primitive life forms the eye could detect light and dark, later a dog’s eye could distinguish items in detail but in monochrome (black, greys and whites) but the human eye has evolved to consider each wave length being reflected by the flowers pigments and to translate these radio wave reflections into a series of colours. So, everything outside our mind is black but full of unseen radio waves but inside our mind we have colours and, in general, a beautiful picture displayed of our World.
Very recently, an English Company has developed a material named Ventablack. This material absorbs the incoming radio waves but reflects only a very small percentage of the original (beam) energy. The result is that the human eye cannot make sense of the minute amount of radio wave being detected. The human mind is fooled into seeing a black hole, which could be very solid.
